Busby SEO challenge - Am I worth it?

Busby SEO challenge get's very very tough as I can't let myself up the list and it made me very very upset

I can't even see my Busby SEO Challenge rank even this day. I can't believe my own eyes that an experienced SEO could not put his site even in a top 100 position. I gave myself a statement, "am I worth joining in any SEO competition?".

I just can't accept that my SEO skills have been deteriorated. That's why if 2 weeks and there's no changes for my site's rank, I will shave my head bald.

Free For All links: is it effective or not?

Busby SEO challenge is getting bigger and bigger, different methods may be used but there could only be one question, are FFA (Free for All) links effective?

Well as I have researched, FFA links may give you lower reputation to your sites. It is a black hat method of building links from uncategorized link pages. Like link farms, FFAs are list of links that is placed in 1 page containing different categories.

Busby SEO Challenge is now on and win over 5000 dollars at stake.

The contest started in June 1, 2008 12:00 in Perth, Australia. The contest will end at August 31, 2008 12:00 midday in Perth Australia.

Busby SEO Challenge Prizes are at stake

1st Prize: $ 5,000
2nd Prize: $ 2,000
3rd Prize: $ 500

According to the site, here are the rules:

RULES:
* Start date is 1st June 2008, 12:00midday, Perth, Western Australia at which point the phrase will be posted on the Busby website.

* End date of 31st August 2008, 12:00 midday, Perth, Western Australia.

* Only ethical SEO techniques may be engaged and the judges reserve the right to review the techniques engaged by the winner to ensure they comply.

* No pornography, no discrimination and no illegal behaviour is permitted.

* The competition is only open to domain and sub domain names that do not include the key phrase in any form.

* Only registered entrants are eligible to compete and win the prize. Busby will maintain a list of entrants which can be view on the Entrants List page.

* Registration is free, open to anyone of any age, gender, race and domicile and can only be made through Registration Process.

* All entrants pages must have a visible link back to www.busbywebsolutions.com with the following text (including the hyperlink) in black Arial 10 font:
Participant in the Busby Web Solutions Search Engine Optimisation Challenge.

* Only one prize per person.

* Employees, franchisees and licensees of Busby (and each of their family members) are eligible to enter but are not eligible to win any prizes.

Summary

Entrants will be given 3 months to use their best endeavours to optimise a key phrase so that it appears as high as possible on www.google.com, when that particular key phrase is searched for. The winner will be the person whose site is ranked the highest, when that particular key phrase is searched for, on 31st August 2008, 12:00 midday, Perth, Western Australia. The runner up 2nd and 3rd place prizes will be awarded to those two entrants whose site is ranked the second and third highest.

Web 2.0 is an advanced form of the World Wide Web. The advantage of this form is that it may grab more users and make them focus on the website they liked. Designs used by Web 2.0 are more realistic compared to the old layouts from the previous forms. Other features like tag clouds, valid XHTML markup, RSS, are also commonly seen in this form.

Parusa's war in SEOChat : is it over?

September 11, 2007: It was the time when I heard someone being insulted or fought by the other members of SEOChat (I heard it a lot of times). I have a created the thread that tests the other gurus', but some of the members thought I am asking newbie questions regarding SEO.

Some members triggered me to fight them, but thanks to Visio, one of the famous webmaster forum poster, helped me neutralize the quarrel between me and the other members of SEO chat.

Some moderators used to protect other members from fighting other members, but some would help fight the member in need. SEOChat is a good forum site but the other members joining the forum used to be abusive. Hope to know how to welcome other members instead of fighting them. The forums is made to be peaceful for others to get more traffic from them. If some of the members continue to show that kind of treatment to other members, it is possible that the member may show his/her attitude in the forum.

Keyword stuffing all the way

According to Google, we must not put unrelated keywords in our site to avoid bans. This method is used to cheat search engines. Example, a user typed a keyword in the search engine and list of results are viewed, but one website is opened. But the user realizes that the site is not related to the keyword/topic he searched. Now, Google bans sites that use unrelated keywords in any part of the website. For example, Alex Chiu's website:

As you can see, Alex Chiu's website is very simple and clean.

But wait, what is this?

Woah, I see, different keywords in a textarea. That is why his site is banned by Google.
